Tezcatlipoca: The Power of the Smoking Mirror and the Meaning Behind Tezca Games
December 11, 2025How do you know if a system is broken? Is it possible to understand it without stepping inside and playing the game? Do you think the most damaging action in human history is incompetent people occupying positions they do not deserve? Is this lack of merit and bigotry not the biggest obstacle to human progress? For instance, did the tragedy that befell Galileo Galilei happen because he voiced his ideas among competent people?
I know I’ve asked too many questions, but we need to talk about these things to look behind the mirror…
This game, currently in development, takes the classic 2048 mechanic and adds a dangerous question or two: “What is preventing us from rising? What will allow us to rise?”
Meritocracy or Mathematics?
In the game, every move means a merger. Lower ranks merge to form a higher rank. On paper (and in mathematics), everything works perfectly. 2+2 always equals 4.
But what about in real life? What if “2+2” equals “5” if you are the right person’s man? What if, while you are using math with the correct proof every time, certain people disrupt your math and place ranks where they shouldn’t be?
In this game, as ranks rise, the playing field shrinks. Movement becomes difficult. Just like in bureaucracy, as you get closer to the top, oxygen decreases, and you have to make more “strategic” decisions to survive.
However, this game is not real life. Therefore, it is easier to ensure justice in the game. With the guiding principles of Atatürk, the founding leader of the Republic of Turkey, you can ensure true justice in the game, re-establish meritocracy, prevent external forces attempting to infiltrate the army, and structure the army strongly. Although the number of leaders like Atatürk in the world is few, there is enough experience and knowledge accumulation to guide the whole world…

Where is the Glitch?
We expect this from our players: Do not play this game just to get the “highest score.” As you play, think about the story behind those merging ranks. Sometimes the game will present you with unexpected “glitches.”
Are these software errors, or a natural result of the system?
The decision is yours.
