Silence Broken: Why Tezca Games Exists?
November 27, 2025“He is the wind in the shadows. He is what we think. We do not see him, but he always sees us.” – From Aztec Codices
The figure lying at the heart of Tezca Games is not an ordinary mascot. He is one of the most powerful and feared gods of the Aztec pantheon: Tezcatlipoca.
His name means “Smoking Mirror” in the Nahuatl language.
Why Not a “Villain”?
In pop culture, dark figures are often labeled as “evil.” However, Tezcatlipoca represents change and conflict rather than evil. Without him, history does not progress; stagnation begins.
He is the force that challenges Quetzalcoatl’s (the Feathered Serpent) order. Where there is order, there is comfort, but there is no growth. Growth is born from within chaos.
My Inspiration
Legends tell that Tezcatlipoca sacrificed his own foot to create the world. Creation requires sacrifice.
I am sacrificing my own comfort zone to create new worlds (games). By stepping into game development, I see myself walking this path. My goal is to break comfortable, conventional game patterns; to take the player out of their comfort zone and make them think.
Tezcatlipoca’s obsidian mirror revealed the future and the hidden truths in people’s hearts.
What do you see when you turn off your computer or phone screen? A black, reflective surface… Just like Tezcatlipoca’s obsidian mirror. When we turn those screens on, my goal is to show you not just colorful pixels, but the stories hidden within that black depth.
Tezca Games embraces chaos. Because new worlds can only be built by shaking up old structures.
